This project consisted of the demolition and rebuild of an existing distribution warehouse and high value secure distribution facility in Dartford Kent due to significant subsidence causing distortion to the frame, with piles protruding through the existing RC slab.

Through a competitive tender process, EJT Construction were awarded the contract to carry out the pile testing and design, and then on as main contractor to replace 100% of the existing floor, piles and replace 1:3 of the steel frame building, cladding, high bay lighting, office refurbishment, external works, drainage and gas protections systems and landscaping.

All of these works were completed whilst the facility remained live and oporational as a distribution depot, in a phased sequence.

  • Building remained in permanent use whilst sectional phases were being completed
  • Full UXO survey at each pile location
